MGOS Is Making A Movie!

Kat Rush
Have you ever wondered what goes into creating the movies that we enjoy watching? Camera angles, lighting, costumes, the setting--so many elements combine to create an interesting and meaningful story.
Last season in May, the Monday MGOS group met at my place to watch a movie. We saw the Pink Panther 2 and ate lasagna. Out of that evening came the idea that we might try to make our own movie.

This summer, MGOS summer camp members met a young woman named Cat Rush who came to take pictures, interview us, and make a video-record of everything that we did at camp. She has been studying film-making and has already won awards for her work. Cat has agreed to add her expertise to our movie-making project.
We will start creating our script in September and we hope to use professional cameras and lighting techniques. MGOS members will have the unique opportunity of choosing a story line, developing the script around it, planning the frames that will be shot, acting in the movie, and helping to edit our final product.
Start thinking now about the story we will tell. I’ll see you in September!
